Intersection of Walkers Road and South Sound Road

The Mind’s Eye Centre is one of the Cayman Islands’ most significant heritage sites — and one of CNCF’s most treasured assets. It is home to the historic cottage and art collection of the late Gladwyn K. “Miss Lassie” Bush (1914–2003), recognised on the World Monuments Watch List in 2012.

Miss Lassie was a visionary self-taught artist who, beginning at the age of 62, transformed every surface of her 19th-century wattle-and-daub cottage with vivid paintings inspired by Christian visions and Caymanian seafaring life. It is one of only six Sites of National Historic Interest in the Cayman Islands.

CNCF manages the site, conserves the collection, and welcomes visitors, school groups, and researchers by appointment. Guided tours are tailored to different age groups and learning needs.

The Mind’s Eye Centre is located at South Church Street, George Town, and is open by appointment only. To book a visit, please contact education@artscayman.org
