Cayman National Festival of the Arts
Established in 1995, with origins in the 1973–1975 National Festivals of the Arts, the Cayman National Festival of the Arts (Cayfest) is the country’s leading annual cultural festival, celebrating traditional and contemporary performing arts, storytelling, dance, film, and education across the community. The festival is produced in collaboration with multiple community partners.
About
Each year, Cayfest begins with a curated launch event at the FJ Harquail Cultural Centre. This multidisciplinary event showcases the very best of Caymanian creativity. The festival then continues with a busy schedule of cultural events and activities held on site, at venues across the three Cayman Islands, and virtually. Cayfest concludes each year with the annual National Arts & Culture Awards.
Cayfest 2027 will run from 6 to 20 March. Our open call for project proposals will launch on 1 November 2026. Click here for information on how to participate.
